History

The first soccer team at Seymour High School was in 1987. Although there were both boys and girls welcome on the team, it mainly consisted of boys. There was only a Junior Varsity team that Mr. Greco was coach of. The senior Tri-Captains were Jerry Davino, Eric Duffy, and Rich Reilly. They finished off the season with a record of 6-6-2, showing promise for future teams. The boys' soccer team has made it to states many times, and has made it to the championships in 2005 and in 2006 but sadly they lost to Suffield and were named 2nd in the state.
